Uptown Saturday Night

“Uptown” is a rambunctious, zany comedy about two pals (Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby) who, after a night goes wrong on the town, concoct a plan to find a missing lottery ticket in the city’s underbelly with its kingpin (Harry Belafonte).

Directed, produced, and conceived by Poitier, the film is the star’s foray into a purely comedic role. Bill Cosby, as co-star, is featured prominently in this film. With scene-stealer Richard Pryor, Flip Wilson, Rosalind Cash, and Roscoe Lee Browne.
