The Man

After ascending to the unlikely position of the first Black President, Douglass Dilman (James Earl Jones) faces doubt from his party, family, and colleagues. Thrust into a world of controversy and mistrust, Dilman ultimately asks himself: What role does the President of the United States truly occupy?

In a film written by Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling and released during the peak of the Blaxploitation movement, “The Man” is a made-for-television movie that received a theatrical release to lukewarm audiences.
