Speeding Up Time


Made with the intention to be a positive work produced, directed, and starring Black people, John Evans’ “Speeding Up Time” was conceived in the Watts Writer’s Workshop and used nonprofessional actors from the poet’s workshop. The film focuses on a man with a "soul of a poet" as he navigates living in a non-Black society.
