Red Ball Express

During the height of the Second World War, a truck convey was established to get supplies moving to allied forces. In this early Sidney Poitier role, Poitier plays a soldier in the mixed-race Red Ball Express who must navigate racial politics inside and outside his platoon. It should be noted that in the real Red Ball Express most of the platoon was Black soldiers led by white officers, unlike what is depicted here.
