This slice-of-life-film focuses on the lives of two best friends in the 1960s Chicago North Side —Preach (Glynn Turman) and Cochise (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs) as their life takes an abrupt turn during the last few weeks of their senior year of high school. This film has been a steady influence for generations of Black filmmakers.
