Black is... Black Ain’t

An exacting documentary that captures the pulse of the explosive 90s-set conversation on diversity in Blackness and the effects patriarchal structures have on how we percieve the ties that bind. Told from Riggs’ hospital bed as he dies to AIDS, the film acts as a eulogy for an artist who believes in Black futures enough to believe we can move beyond the narrow definitons that patriarchy, sexism, and homophobia offer our culture.
